If we go back in time, the land was acquired in\u00a0year 1991<\/span>\u00a0by a businessman based in the\u00a0Province of Col\u00f3n<\/span>,\u00a0Mr. Abdul Omais<\/span>, who had emigrated from his native Lebanon 10 years ago (1981). Located in a privileged environment, bathed by the\u00a0Caribbean Sea<\/span>, rivers (Santa Isabel, Brazuelo and R\u00edo Piedra<\/span>) , waterfalls, mountains and jungles, the farm is specifically located in the area of \u200b\u200bMar\u00eda Chiquita<\/span>, District of\u00a0Portobelo<\/span>\u00a0, Province of\u00a0Col\u00f3n<\/span>. With a total area of \u200b\u200b426 hectares<\/span>, of which an important part is harvested for fruits, vegetables and native plants, R\u00edo Piedra Farm offers visitors a large recreation area. Three million years ago, after a few years of tectonic movements and volcanic activity, a narrow strip of land called the isthmus arose that separated the waters of the\u00a0Caribbean<\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0Pacific<\/span>\u00a0and at the same time united the continental masses of\u00a0North America<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0South<\/span>.<\/p>

In 1501 the discovery of Panama by the Spanish explorer\u00a0Rodrigo de Bastidas<\/span>\u00a0marked the beginning of the era of conquest and colonization on the isthmus.<\/p>

In\u00a0November 1821<\/span>, the desire for independence that ran throughout the continent reached\u00a0Panama<\/span>, which became immediately join\u00a0Gran Colombia<\/span>.<\/p>

Its name is due to the explorer and conqueror\u00a0Christopher Columbus<\/span>\u00a0who, at the beginning of the\u00a0sixteenth century<\/span>, during his fourth and last trip, he sighted for the first time the lands that today form Columbus, arriving at the\u00a0Bay of Portobelo<\/span>\u00a0on\u00a0November 2, 1502<\/span>.<\/p>

The\u00a0province of<\/span>\u00a0Col\u00f3n<\/span>\u00a0was founded on\u00a0February 27, 1852\u00a0<\/span>. Due to its special location near the Caribbean entrance of the\u00a0Panama Canal<\/span>, it is of commercial importance for the country due to the\u00a0Zone Libre de Col\u00f3n<\/span>\u00a0(the second largest in the world) and for the activity in the different ports.<\/p>

Mar\u00eda Chiquita:<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>

As the story goes, the first family that arrived at the place had two daughters named \u201cMar\u00eda\u201d. Initially they named the town Mar\u00eda Grande, in honor of the eldest daughter. But the town grew and another neighborhood was made, which they baptized with the name\u00a0Mar\u00eda Chiquita<\/span>, in honor of the little daughter.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
